John Forrest Ward, IV joined Taylor Porter in 2023 and practices primarily in commercial litigation and commercial transactions. 

John earned his J.D. in 2023 from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center where he graduated with a Certificate in Estate Planning and Taxation. John was also Senior Associate of the Journal of Energy Law and Resources, President of the Louisiana Business Law Society, and he received the CALI Excellence Award for the highest grade in Mergers & Acquisitions. He received his B.S. from Louisiana State University in 2020.

Before joining Taylor Porter, John served as a law clerk for various law firms assisting in representing corporate entities in matters of transactional closings and contract negotiations, as well as exposure to a wide breadth of commercial litigation.

In his spare time, he enjoys participating in triathlons, surfing, and playing golf.
